August Writing Update

So far I've finished the first half of The Monster Exorcist 2 and I am now currently working on the second half. I already have a ruff idea about how it's going to end and the events that are going to happen, but I still need to think over my timeline and write the scenes. I'm going to be releasing the first few chapters for free gradually over the next few months, so please keep a look out. You can already read the first chapter here.

The Monster Exorcist 2 is not the end and there will defiantly be a part three and maybe part four before the story will come to a close. There are still many situations and obstacles that the characters need to go through before I can bring the story to an end. I already have a final ending, and it's still a long way off.

The Monster Exorcist 2 Chapter 1

As you may already know I am currently working on The Monster Exorcist 2. I've been writing it gradually over the past year and I still have a long way to go, so I thought I would gradually release the first few chapters to give you all an idea about what the second book is about. I would also like to point out that parts of this chapter may change in the final edition after I finish editing it.

Chapter 1

 

“So you thought you could fool us didn't you monster,” said an old man with white hair and a beard as he paced back and forth before me. He must have been at least sixty years old, and was dressed in what looked like a military uniform with a long dark coat and big black boots. He glared at me menacingly like a jailer conducting an interrogation.

“You've been hiding in plain sight all along,” he continued. “Waiting for the perfect opportunity to devour us all.”

“What?” I said blankly.

The Monster Exorcist New Cover Design

 

 

I recently changed the cover design to something which I think better reflects my story. I've gone for a teenage boy with a Japanese shine in the background which is a combination of Creative Commons pictures that I managed to find on Flicker.

 

I'm okay with a pencil so I originally attempted to draw Michael with the other exorcists in the back ground, but my coloring skills left him looking like an old man.

 

I wanted a look more like the current picture since last year but I had very little faith in my paint shopping skills. I did a lot of graphic design and image editing as a teenager, so I decided to jump in and give it ago while trying to remember my long forgotten skills. I think that the current design looks professional and I am very happy with the results. Please feel free to write any comments about what you think below.

The Monster Exorcist 2 June Update

                                                           

With 100 pages down and loads more to go, the sequel is currently in progress. There are so many new characters and scenes that I'm excited to write, so I hope you have as much fun reading it as I did writing it all.

I offered the original version of How I was Murdered by a Fox Monster on many ebook websites, and I still occasionally get emails asking about part 2, so I am considering offering two versions. The Monster Exorcist 2, and How I was Murdered by a Fox Monster 2 with all the original names and so on. HIWMBAFM did not have the last chapter, so that last chapter will be included at the beginning of the second part of HIWMBAFM 2.

They will both be the same price and offered at the same stores. so please don't buy both of them thinking that they are completely different stories.

I really hope to complete the second part of this story before the end of the year. I have the whole story planned out in my head, so it’s just a matter of writing it all out and finishing it. I am really excited about the story, and there is so many plot twists and character building that I can’t wait to write.
